Farm Burger is part of a collective of like-minded businesses linked by their aligned outlook, objectives, and owners.
Farm 255 is our closest cousin, our sister or brother, our mother operation in Athens from which the idea of Farm Burger was born. Farm 255 reconnects food to its roots & people to their food. The restaurant is a vanguard operation that takes the "farm-to-table" concept one step further, offering what we like to call a “farm-&-table” model of operations. Farm 255 considers supporting local agriculture and land stewards its first priority. Like Farm Burger, the restaurant is supplied in majority by its own farm operations Full Moon Farms and our pasture-based producer cooperative Moonshine Meats. It also sources diligently from other local small-scale farms in the area. It is as committed to community as it is to cuisine and has become an important hub for the town as a live music venue, full bar, and events venue. For 7 years the restaurant has strived to reform the way seemingly disparate industries can collaborate to educate and activate a truly local and sustainable food system.
1000 Faces Coffee is another next-of-kin also located in Athens. The company emerged out of a belief that respect for geographic origin, direct relationships, and ecological awareness is the basis for creating a more sustainable and responsible coffee culture. 1000 Faces forges direct realtionships with sustainable coffee farmers in various countries around the world, imports green beans to its über-hip industrial roasting facility, works its alchemist magic, and turns out a silky product that is both ethical and ethereal. Beyond Fair trade, direct trade sourcing shrinks the distance between grower and consumer that re-writes them both as “co-producers” (to borrow a phrase from Slow Food’s founder Carlo Petrini). Don’t forget, drinking good coffee can be an act of civil disobedience.
All that is to say: we all throw a good party. And you can bet the food & drink is always impressive.
