Farm Burger’s heart lies in its farms.
Farm Burger and sister operation Farm 255 were born in the fields and barns of their founders. Our restaurants are based on a fundamental relationship to the land, expressed daily though our menus and ingredients. Our grassfed beef and heritage breed pastured pork are sourced from Moonshine Meats, a unique integrated meat enterprise founded by Farm Burger partner Jason Mann. A collective that evolved out of our very own herds in Athens, Moonshine partners with other local ranchers to market under a shared label that is synonymous with sustainable, ethical, and humane husbandry. Its vision is to support local farmers and ranchers from pasture to processing to plate. Moonshine offers a CSA subscription for families that includes beef and pork products. Its goal is to build dynamic local markets that connect consumers with the source of their meat in an effort to create a more sustainable and just agriculture system in the state of Georgia and beyond.
Farm Burger sources much of its vegetables from Full Moon Farms, the same operation behind Farm 255 and the birthplace of our ideas. Full Moon runs its own CSA, providing vegetables for families in the Athens area for almost ten years.
